Student Art Projects

Beluga Whale Project

Picture
Students learned about beluga whales and painted pictures of them after the lesson. They learned about their blubber and how it keeps them warm in the cold ocean waters.
Northern Lights Project
Picture
We can often see the Northern Lights from Beaver Creek, particularly in the winter months. On one particular November night, the Northern Lights danced over the community. The next morning, we drew the Northern Lights with pastels and hung them in the classroom.

Earth Day Art

Picture
Picture
Picture
On Earth Day, NBJS students walked through Beaver Creek collecting and disposing of garbage. Before doing so, they created signs and posters reminding community members not to litter and to treat our Earth with love and care.
The Darkest Hour Project
Picture
Students explored space with Chris Hadfield in his exciting book "The Darkest Dark".
Astronaut pictured is Steve MacLean - students were excited to find out that Ms. Warren has met him!
